Rebecca Burgess

This month’s member highlight comes from one of our Ram Off Road riders, Rebecca. Thank you for sharing a little about yourself Rebecca!

Name: My name is Rebecca Burgess!

Where are you from/ what brought you here? I live on the edge of Black Forest and Colorado Springs. We moved out here for my dads retirement in 2015, and to be closer to family.

What do you do for a living? (Do you have a business you are trying to grow and would like to share about?) I work as a cashier for Big R and as a Supervisor/Trail Guide for Springs Adventure Rentals at RAM Off-Road Park for my dad, Joseph Burgess.

What do you enjoy doing (outside of moto) ? Outside of motocross I enjoy to draw and go hiking with my family.

How has moto played a role in your life? Motocross has had a major affect on my life. I used to be afraid to do anything on my 1999 Honda XR100r before I started to take risks and go for it. Girls Ride Too brought me out of my comfort zone more and more until I decided this is what I wanted to do. Even after I broke my arm, I had goals get reached and got myself a 2012 Yamaha YZ250F!

If you could master one skill on a dirt bike what would it be? The one skill I would master on a dirt bike would be corners. I’ve slowly been getting a hang of it but it still scares me some.

What is your best dirt biking moment to date? My best moment of riding is when I first got on a dirt bike 5th grade on my 1999 Honda XR100r. My dad had made us ride in a ditch at the end of a hill. When I got on and started it, I took off. I knew at that second, it was mine.

If you could spend the day with one famous rider, who would it be and why? Honestly I don't know any famous riders, but I would ride with ANYONE. I ride with my family (but they always leave me behind on the tracks). Just someone who is willing to be there with me, is enough for me.
